During the summer, the Pitta dosha tends to quickly become unbalanced. A Pitta imbalance can be expressed in different ways. On a physical level, due to hot flashes, significant fatigue, skin that will tend to redden and cause acne. On an emotional level, an excess of Pitta will manifest itself in a tendency to anger, jealousy and impatience.
To balance pitta:
During the summer, we must avoid foods that are too salty or spicy (spicy or acidic) that tend to dehydrate us. We also avoid coffee, alcohol, garlic and onion that increase Pitta.
It is necessary to adopt a lighter diet so as not to overload the digestive system; bitter, astringent and sweet foods that calm the heat in the body are recommended.

To stay hydrated, we opt to drink cool but not ice cold, so as not to block digestion/put out the digestive fire.
