Amber is a semi-precious stone made from fossilized plant resin, usually from conifers and angiosperms. It is not a mineral, since its origin is organic and its amorphous structure, its composition varies depending on the tree it comes from.
The first place recorded in Europe as a source of amber is the Baltic Sea region, where almost 80% of the world's amber is found. Baltic Amber is also known as "succino", its origin is coniferous resin over 40 million years old, its main differentiating characteristic compared to other types of amber from other regions is its high content of succinic acid (between 5% and 8%), being one of the most appreciated in the world. Ambaltic's Baltic Amber Beads are made from carefully selected and polished natural handmade amber stones.
